2013 Class Listings

1 Historic 1956 to 1964 Historic Karts and Engines. Dry clutch: Single, Twin, Triple engines: 16.5 (270cc) max displacement: No expansion chambers: Mufflers recommended: Vintage tires. Demonstration class only.
2 Junior Class Sidewinder or Rear Engine 6.1 (100cc) max displacement: Single one inch throttle bore. 7/8" Venturi carburetor, HLor small mac flatback: Dry clutch: Pipes allowed: Vintage tires: American engines.
3 Mac 49/Saw Rear Engine 80 cc McCulloch engines. Aftermarket small intake manifold OK. Single HL 1 inch carburetor, 7/8' venturi or small mac flatback . Dry clutch. Box muffler, Vintage Tires. 1.375 stroke.
4 Single Rear 6.1 & under 6.1 (100cc) American or Foreign engines: Pipes allowed, Oil clutches allowed, no disc clutches. Vintage Tires.
5 Single Rear 8.2 2 (135cc) American or Foreign engines: Pipes allowed: Oil clutches allowed, no disc clutches. Vintage tires.
6 Dual Rear (270cc) American or Foreign engines: Pipes allowed, Oil clutches allowed. No disc clutches. Any Historic B or C class karts may run in this class. Vintage Tires
7 Single Sidewinder American 6.1 (100cc) American Fan Cooled engines: engine clutches only. Pipes allowed. One inch axle. modern tires permitted.
8 Single Sidewinder American 8.2 8.2 (135cc) American Fan Cooled engines: engine clutches only. Pipes allowed. One inch axle. modern tires permitted
9 Single Sidewinder Foreign 6.1 1 (100cc) Foreign or American engines: engine clutches only. Pipes allowed. En 1 inch axle. Engines produced before 1980. Modern tires permitted.
10 Single Sidewinder Foreign 8.2 8.2 (135cc) Foreign or American Engines: engine clutches only. Pipes allowed. 1 inch axle. Engines produced before 1980. Modern tires permitted.
11 Over 60, Rear or Sidewinder Kart Driver 60 years +. 6.1 (100cc) American engines only: Oil clutches OK, no disc clutches. Pipes allowed. Vintage Tires required.
12 Dual Sidewinder 16.5 (270cc) American or Foreign engines: engine clutches only. Pipes allowed.1 inch axle allowed if original. modern tires permitted. Kart must be 1982 or earlier.Engines manufactured prior to 1983.
13 80-85 Sidewinder 6.1 (100cc) American or Foreign engines: engine clutches only. Pipes allowed. Modern tires permitted. Any sidewinder manufactured prior to 1986. Engines must be manufactured prior to 1986
14 Stock Appearing 6.1 (100cc) American Fan Cooled single carb engines : Internal modifications OK. Sidewinderor Rear Engine Karts, (pre 1980) modern tires. oil clutches allowed. No Disc Clutches. Box Muffler.Carb must externally appear as supplied on engine by factory. No Atomizers, Gasoline orAlcohol permitted. Cosmetic Improvements OK.

Kart Manufactured between 1956 and 1985
are eligible for participation.

No open headers at Brodhead even if period correct.

Allowed
Classes 1-12 Require a 1 inch axle. Karts and Engines must be from 1956 to 1979 era.
Vintage tires 65 durometer min refer to VKA Acceptable Vintage Tire schedule.
Modern tires 60 durometer or higher, refer to VKA Acceptable Modern Tire Schedule.
Modifications Allowed with vintage period type components
Direct Drive Allowed in all classes
Brake upgrades
3rd Bearing Support Required on all sidewinder class karts using a disc clutch.
Kart Chassis To remain in their original design from their model year. Reproduction andSpecials allowed but must be vintage type.
