Sugar River Raceway is a half-mile long paved asphalt road course designed and built specially for go-karting. The track has been in continuous operation since 1959, and is owned and operated by the Fairman family. It takes its name from the Sugar River, which borders the property on the north and east sides. Weekly race programs are run April through October. The track is open during the week for both private and open practice sessions. A complete kart shop is located on site that offers retail and mail order sales of go-karts and go-kart parts. Private dates are also available for outings in which our facilities, karts, and safety gear are made available to corporations, clubs, or organizations.

We have added a fun wrinkle to our 'Turn Key Thursday' season with our 'Fastest Man Alive' competition. Each Thursday night the 3 fastest individuals (that's the 3 fastest lap times, not the top 3 finishers) will be entered into a year end drawing (we will also include the fastest go kart rookie driver of the night in the drawing). The driver who wins the drawing gets a trip for two to the 2010 season ending Nascar Cup race at Homestead, Florida! This will include airfare, lodging and two tickets for the Sunday race! Yeah, no kidding! The runner up winner gets a 10 person private rent to race party free of charge, scheduled in 2011. The fastest driver each night will win 2 concert tickets that will be donated by WJJO 94.1 in Madison, WI. An SRR representative will be on the radio morning show each Friday to reveal who our 4 fastest drivers are from our Thursday night race. Sound like fun? You can try to run that winning lap every Thursday night to better your odds in the drawing. We'll see you on a Thursday at the track!
